Humane Society for Greater Lafayette Community Campaign

A new collaborative effort has been announced between local government agencies to introduce a community campaign for the new Humane Society for Greater Lafayette. 

The new shelter will be located at 3150 Sagamore Parkway South in Lafayette, previously known as the Tippecanoe County Extension Office. 

The no-kill shelter will serve 145 cats and up to 70 dogs.  

The facility will also provide:

  • Adoption services
  • Educational classes
  • Updated kennels
  • Medical procedures for injured animals, and an 
  • Exercise area for all the animals

Local governments have committed $6.5 million for the new facility. 

The community campaign goal is $1.5 million, of which $35,000 has already been raised.
