Dr. Jim Weisman, Purdue Veterinary Medicine assistant dean for clinical education and clinical associate professor, recently recorded an interview with Purdue Marketing Communications on the subject. He explains that demand for veterinarians continues to outweigh supply and that burnout and compassion fatigue are key factors in the national shortage involving veterinarians and veterinary nurses.
