Several staff members were recognized on Mar. 30 for their exceptional contributions in various departments, according to a recent announcement. The recognition highlights the important role that these individuals play in supporting their colleagues and ensuring smooth operations across the organization.

Acknowledging staff achievements is seen as a way to foster a positive work environment and encourage continued excellence.

Lisa Geisler from Accounting Services was commended by Melissa Richardson of Science for her support during a recent grant closeout involving complex CAF forms under tight deadlines. “Throughout the process, Lisa was responsive, thorough and exceptionally patient, helping ensure each form was completed correctly and efficiently,” Richardson said. She added that Geisler’s dedication stood out even more given she worked as part of a small three-person team with competing priorities.

Ottlie Webb from Institutional Data Analytics + Assessment received praise from Margaret Ascolani of the same department for her technical guidance and problem-solving skills. “As I encountered several unexpected technical barriers, Ottlie consistently stepped in with timely guidance, patience and a deep commitment to helping explore every angle of the problem,” Ascolani said. She described Webb as an invaluable team member whose efforts strengthen the team’s confidence moving forward.

Tim McMahan from Operations and Maintenance was thanked by Aaron Spurling of Engineering for his quick response in switching out electrical outlets at short notice. In addition, both Jan Aynes and Tim McMahan were recognized by Ashish Gogia of Mechanical Engineering for assisting with exhaust and electrical connections needed for new lab equipment installation and student training preparations.

These acknowledgments reflect ongoing efforts within departments to appreciate staff who go above and beyond their regular duties.
