West Lafayette Public Library recently issued the following announcement.
Weekly Programs:
Lap Sit for babies and 1 year old children
Mondays at 10:30 and 11:15 a.m.
This program is for babies, toddlers, and their parents or caregivers. Make new friends while listening to very easy stories and learning songs with Miss Gail. Free; no registration.
Location: Children’s Activity Room
Note: There will be no lap sit on March 16th.
Time for Twos
Thursdays from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m.
Miss Gail is leading a story time for children who are 2 years old. It includes stories, songs, and a simple craft. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Free; no registration.
Location: Children’s Activity Room.
Notes – There will be no session on March 19th.
There will be no session on March 26th, as the library will be not be open until noon that day.
Music & Fun for children ages 2 and older
Wednesdays at 10:30 to 11:00 a.m.
Children ages 2 and older and their parents or caregivers are invited to sing and dance with Miss Gail. Free; no registration
Location: Walnut Room, 2nd floor of the library
Note: There will be no Music & Fun session on March 18.
Please note: Whenever West Lafayette schools are closed for inclement weather, Miss Gail will not be holding Lap Sit, Time for Twos, or Music & Fun. Please call the library (743-2261) or check the website to confirm the status of the program after 10 a.m. on the day of the event.)
Preschool Story & Crafts for children ages 3 and older
Tuesdays and Fridays at 10:30 to 11:15 a.m.
Story & craft times are for children ages 3 and older and their families or caregivers. Free; no registration. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Special Programs for Children & their Families or Caregivers
Lego Builders Club
Saturday, March 7th : 2 to 3:30 p.m.
Walnut & Elm Rooms
Children ages 2 through 12 are invited to build with the library’s collection of Lego blocks and Duplo blocks. Children who are 8 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Come and build and make new friends. No registration or fee.
Reading to the Dogs!
Saturday, March 28th: 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.
Walnut & Elm Rooms
For children ages 4 and older. Dogs from Pet Partners (Caring Paws) will be waiting and eager to listen to children read stories to them.
Registration required by Friday, March 27th at the children’s desk or by phone.
