CITY OF FRANKFORT: Frankfort Police Department Officers Complete Leadership Training

Police

City of Frankfort issued the following announcement on Mar 10.

Lieutenant Brady Sorrells, Sergeant Jeremy Rushton, and Sergeant Josh Ruben recently completed an intense 8-week online Supervision of Police Personnel course from the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety. According to Deputy Chief Scott Shoemaker, the course provided instruction in dynamic leadership, management, planning, and decision-making as well as cultural diversity, ethics, and community policing.

“Reliable leadership training is critical for the development of new supervisors within our department. By sending all new and veteran supervisors to the same leadership development courses, we are creating and implementing a consistent leadership philosophy that benefits not only our department but the entire community as well,” Shoemaker said.

The Northwestern University Supervision of Police Personnel course is attended by all Frankfort Police Department officers who attain the rank of Sergeant.
