Cost of college was unchanged for all students at Purdue University-Main Campus

In-state tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at Purdue University-Main Campus, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Indiana residents paid $9,992 to attend the four-year public institution in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Non-residents paid 188.2 percent more than residents this year, or $28,794. Their price tag was unchanged from $28,794 in 2017-18.

About 52 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Indiana residents. About 37 percent are residents of other states and 9 percent are citizens of other countries.

Data shows 69 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 3,870 students received grants or scholarships totaling $40.7 million and 2,584 students took out student loans totaling more than $20.4 million.

Including all undergraduates (44,474), 16,408 students used grants or scholarships totaling $161.5 million, and 9,347 students took out $55 million in federal student loans.
