The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Lafayette conferred 1777 bachelor's degrees and 729 master's degrees in engineering programs.
But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Data shows the school gave out 422 bachelor's degrees in mechanical engineering, followed by 350 certificates in general business administration and management and 312 bachelor's degrees in computer science.
The university enrolled 44,474 students for 2017-18, including 33,735 in undergraduate programs and 10,739 in graduate programs.
