City of Frankfort Notice To Bidders

City of Frankfort recently issued the following announcement.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Notice is hereby given that the City of Frankfort, through its Board of Public Works and

Safety, will receive sealed bids for the construction of concrete sidewalks at designated locations

throughout the City of Frankfort during the year 2022.

The bids should reflect the contractor's total cost for demolition and removal of existing

sidewalks, excavation, all materials and labor required for construction of the new concrete

sidewalks, removal of any debris, the providing of any required fill dirt and grass seeding where

necessary. Bids should be stated as a cost per square foot of concrete poured per sidewalk area,

together with any additional cost adjustment for necessary curbing or for special construction

that may be required for compliance with the American Disabilities Act.

Copies of the Scope of Work and of the proposed Construction Contract are available for

inspection at the Office of the City Engineer, 301 E. Clinton Street, Frankfort, IN 46041, during

its normal business hours. The successful bidder or bidders will be required to produce a

certificate of insurance for workmen’s compensation insurance in amounts required by the State

of Indiana. The successful bidder or bidders will also be required to carry and to produce a

certificate of general liability in amount not less than $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000

general aggregate; with the City named as an additional insured.

Sealed written bids may be filed at the office of the Clerk-Treasurer for the City of

Frankfort, at 301 E. Clinton Street, Frankfort, Indiana 46041, no later than April 11, 2022, at

4:00 o'clock, P.M. The bids will be opened and read aloud by the Board of Public Works and

Safety of the City of Frankfort at its meeting in the Council Chambers at 301 E. Clinton Street,

Frankfort, Indiana, on April 11, 2021, at 5:00 P.M.

The Board of Public Works and Safety expressly reserves the right to reject any and all

bids submitted and to waive any informality in the invitation for bids.
