Boilermakers open season at home against Memphis, Chicago State

Purdue women's tennis is set to start its season with a double header against Memphis at noon and Chicago State at 6 p.m.

Live stats and video will be available for all home matches. Admission is free.

BOILER NOTES

•    Purdue leads the all-time series against Memphis 2-0 with wins in 2015 and 2016.

•    During fall events, the two clubs met at the Bonita Bay Collegiate Open where Purdue recorded four singles wins and a ranked doubles win.

•    This will be the first meeting between Purdue and Chicago State.

•    Head Coach Laura Glitz enter her sixteenth season at the helm as the winningest coach in program history.

•    Csilla Fodor returns for her fourth year in the program.

•    Liz Norman, a redshirt senior, transferred to Purdue during the summer then led the team with 11 singles wins in the fall.

•    Junior Rut Galindo amassed an 8-2 singles record during the fall.

•    Sophomore Carmen Gallardo Guevara represented the Boilermakers at the ITA All-American Tournament during the fall season.

•    Sophomore Juana Larranaga recorded eight singles wins during the fall campaign.

•    During the fall, sophomore Tara Katarina Milic recorded her first ranked doubles win over a team from Memphis. Milic and Norman quickly closed out the match with a 6-1 win over the No. 55 Tigers.

•    Freshman Kennedy Gibbs swept the J3 San Jose ITF Tournament during the summer in both singles and doubles.

•    Freshman Antonia Pareja recorded an win over Memphis at the Bonita Bay Collegiate Open.

•    Freshman Ashlie Wilson is set to continue a family tradition years after her mom, Mary Beth, played for the Boilermakers.
